Get to know Seamless Travel

Anthea Gilchrist is our founder, owner and mastermind of Seamless Travel. The name ‘Seamless’, while being the perfect adjective to describe how our clients travel, comes from the initials of Anthea’s children - Sarah, Emily, Andrew, and Matthew. Anthea actually got her start as a travel advisor by planning culturally focused trips to Europe for her son’s US based club soccer teams. But now ~10 years later, Anthea’s family has grown by 2 making her a mother of 6 and Seamless Travel is no longer a company of 1. 

Seamless Travel began to take on more business and it’s name began to have a new meaning after a trip to Santorini. Anthea and her husband, Ian, were gracefully waiting in the beloved Santorini airport (JTR). This is when Anthea began noticing a couple she had also seen on the ferry with her earlier that week having difficulties at the ticket counter. In short, this couple was unaware that their bags had not been pre-bought on this flight and were having to pay to do so now. The couple who had also remembered Anthea and Ian from the ferry came over exasperated saying, “They even used a travel agent to book everything!” This was the moment when Anthea realized the true service of having a great travel agent. See, Anthea was not struggling to check her bag moments before check in because she had been to Santorini before and had remembered this quirk of JTR which Seamless Travel makes sure none of our clients go through a similar un-seamless experience.
